Multi-browser, multi-device website
Our website is compatible and can be seen properly on the most common browsers (Mozilla, Edge, Safari, Chrome), using their desktop and mobile versions.
Consistent browsing
The structure of our website is coherent and consistent throughout. Things are always in the same place, the same format and with the same content, for a pleasant, simple, intuitive user experience.
No distractions
The website avoids any sort of distractions that could make it difficult to get to and read the content quickly and clearly. There aren’t any flashing or vibrating elements, inappropriate colors or unexpected or unnecessary movements.
Images with embedded text
The content, except for logos or brand images, mainly avoids using images with embedded text.
Titles
The page titles are the same as the sections on the menu, which makes the site consistent and coherent so users don’t get lost. The titles help guide and provide context for users in the various sections on each page.
Color contrast
The visual characteristics of the website (font, text and background colors, etc.) have been established using style sheets. They meet WCAG 2.0 guidelines on contrast ratios at Level AA.
Forms
Forms on the website have tags identifying each field and control element to make them as easy as possible to use.
Language
The language is easy to change and identify, properly labeled in a spot that is clearly visible.
Social media
Biocat social media profiles are easy to access from the website.
Audiovisual player
The audiovisual players used belong to platforms (YouTube and Vimeo) that offer systems accessible to users on any sort of device, keyboard users and people with visual impairment.
Audiovisuals with description
When necessary, the audiovisual contents on the website have descriptions and subtitles.
Language
The website uses clear, simple language that is appropriate for its target audience.
