The life and health sciences sector in Catalonia has been one of the most attractive for national and international investors, with over €200M raised in 2023 by startups and scaleups in the BioRegion. Venture capital (VC) continues to be the main source of funding, accounting for 52% of the total raised through 37 transactions.
