BIOSPAIN is one of the most important European biotechnology events and one of the biggest in the world, both in one-to-one meetings and number of participants. 34% of the delegates come from outside Spain. For the first time in 20 years, BIOSPAIN is returning to Barcelona, the leading biotechnology cluster in Spain.

BIOSPAIN returns to Barcelona
BIOSPAIN, one of the leading congresses in Europe, brings together more than 2,000 professionals from the health, sustainable agri-food, and solutions against climate change fields, national and international, from 975 entities from 30 countries. The main objective of BIOSPAIN - which consists of several days and takes place every two years - is to promote innovation, investment, collaboration and new business opportunities. The conference is organized by ASEBIO and has the support of the Host Committee made up of Biocat, the Government of Catalonia and the Barcelona City Council.
The event also has the private support of Catalan sponsoring companies. The BioRegion of Catalonia will have its very own pavilion at BIOSPAIN. This unique space will provide startups from the BioRegion with exceptional visibility and a distinguished platform to showcase their groundbreaking solutions. The EDAH project will be explained, which aims to create a unified ecosystem for health data between EU Member States. It provides for a harmonized framework of rules, standards and practices, infrastructure and governance framework that facilitates the safe and responsible exchange of health information for primary and secondary use. It will be moderated by Montse Daban, Biocat's Director of Scientific Policy and Internationalization.
Event sponsor Merck has announced its Merck Advance Biotech Grant program, which recognizes outstanding emerging biotech companies and helps them on their path to commercialization, driving the next generation of medicines to market.
This session will explain the advantages of this plan and its application from several Spanish bioregions.

the fair will be open to students for free, with a variety of activities centered on biotech careers. The primary goal of this day is to facilitate meetings between recruitment companies and professionals looking for work. Candidates will be able to schedule interviews through the TALENT matchmaking website during matchmaking sessions. The interviews will last no more than 10 minutes and will take place in cabins reserved for members.
The annual congress of the Association of Biotechnology Communicators, will also take place.
