The second edition of the ASEBIO Investor Day will be held on the Madrid Stock Exchange on the 25th and 26th of September 2019. This year the event is organized jointly with the Alternative Stock Market- BME, the Biotechnology Market Platform-Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the Foreign Trade Institute-ICEX.

Since 2008, venture capital funds that invest in biotechnology have attracted almost 600 million euros. The year 2018 was characterized by a consolidation of positive results from the specialized investment, having experienced an increase both in the number and in the total volume of operations of private capital increases, amounting to 98 million euros.

What does it consist of?

The ASEBIO Investor Day is an event whose main objective is to connect biotechnology companies and innovative projects in search of financing and investors, both national and international. In its first edition, held in Barcelona in 2017, more than 55 national and international investors and more than 80 companies in the biotechnology sector were invited to hold more than 100 partnering meetings. The forecast for 2019 is to surpass these participation figures.

The event will feature company presentations, investor panels and partnering meetings. The 'lingua franca' of the event will be English.

Presentations of companies and projects

Biotechnology companies and projects that participate in the event also have the option of requesting a presentation at no additional cost. The request must be made through the company presentation form. The deadline to complete the application ends next July 31.

In case of being chosen by the advisory committee, they will be able to make a presentation of approximately 10 minutes and will have visibility on the event website.
