The presentation of the BioRegion 2020 Report, the benchmark study that analyzes the life sciences and healthcare sector in Catalonia, will take place on September 28 (online).
The event will be opened by The Honorable Quim Torra, President of the Government of Catalonia, and hosted by Jordi Naval, CEO of Biocat, and Judit Anido, President of CataloniaBio & HealthTech, who will present the main indicators and results from the benchmark report on the life sciences and healthcare sector in Catalonia.
There will also be a round table co-organized with the EATRIS consortium and the first awards ceremony for the Àlex Casta Awards for best startup pitch in the BioRegion. Participants will get to see the 5 finalists give their pitches and vote live. The winning company will obtain a prize worth € 5,000 - € 2,500 in cash and € 2,500 in consulting hours - thanks to the support of Genesis Biomed. The winner will also receive a commemorative trophy courtesy of UPF Ventures and a 1-year free subscription to the CataloniaBio & HealthTech association.
The event will take place in a virtual format and will be participatory. Attendees will connect online and have the opportunity to vote on different questions that will be thrown at the audience throughout the event.
