Biomedical engineering applies the concepts, principles, and methods of engineering to solve problems in biomedicine, and has become a strategic socio-economic activity with a significant impact on modern medicine. Graduates in biomedical engineering are key players in the development and innovation of the healthcare technology sector, with interdisciplinary training that integrates engineering knowledge and skills with those of medicine.

The Talent Forum, organized by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), University of Barcelona (UB), the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (FENIN), and Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia, is an annual platform for meeting between students and graduates in biomedical engineering and companies in the medical technology sector.

Previous editions have seen an average participation of 25 companies and institutions from the sector, with an average of 200 participants, including students and graduates from the three universities.

The Talent Forum is held every year, rotating its location annually between UPC, UPF, and UB.

This year, it will take place on May 6, 2025, at the Escola d’Enginyeria de Barcelona Est (EEBE), Campus Diagonal – Besòs de la UPC, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
