Vitalis is Scandinavia's largest eHealth event, annually attracting attendees with the common goal of expanding their knowledge and improving the healthcare of the future. This year it will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from May 23-25.

The conference will address various topics with roundtables, presentations and panels. Most of the content will also be available online via streaming. During the event there will be more than 200 exhibitors, 400 seminars and masterclasses addressing all aspects of eHealth and digitalization, giving the opportunity of networking to the attendees.

As part of the fair program and the European EDAH project on health data, Novartis is organizing the round table "Health Data for Better Care, in European Perspective" on 24 May from 13.00 to 17.00, coordinated by Biocat and moderated by Montse Daban, Director of Science Policy and Internationalisation. This talk will address infrastructure issues on access and use of health data, data ownership and how data generated in research can be shared and used in healthcare. In the second part of the session, together with policy actors from EU member states such as Estonia, Germany, Sweden and Spain, the need for a framework for a European health data space to improve patient care will be discussed.
