15th annual Setmana de la Ciència, open to all Catalans, to kick off in Girona
Residents from all over Catalonia can enjoy free seminars, workshops, classes and exhibits from 12 to 22 November.
The fifteenth edition of Science Week in Catalonia (SC'10) features a blockbuster program of seminars, open house events, workshops, classes and exhibits to be held in nearly 100 Catalan towns from 12 to 22 November. Setmana de la Ciència has become a classic cultural event in our country—last year it attracted some 100,000 participants—and draws on the support of numerous Catalan research and innovation organizations and entities.
All of the events are free and are aimed at the general public, especially children. Furthermore, as 2010 is both the International Year of Biodiversity and the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures, part of the activities in SC'10 will be dedicated to these themes.
Setmana de la Ciència is organized by Talència and supported by the Department of Innovation, Universities and Enterprise.
