The Annual Conference of Biomedical Research Platforms will be held on 4 and 5 March in Barcelona. Organized by Farmaindustria, the Spanish Bioindustry Association (Asebio), the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (Fenin) and the Hospital del Mar Medical Research Institute (IMIM), this seventh edition of the event focuses on “Innovative medicines, nanomedicine, healthcare technology and biotechnology markets: the challenge in health”.

Biocat CEO Montserrat Vendrell will participate in the panel discussion on Tuesday 5 at 11:30 am, entitled “Experiences in technology transfer and business creation from the national health system”, which will also feature representatives from companies around the country, with Jorge Barrero of Asebio moderating. The conference will bring together renowned experts from the sector including Eduard Valentí, of pharmaceutical company Esteve; Antonio Andreu, director of the Institute of Health Carlos III (ISCIII); Josep Maria Canals, August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (Idibaps); Fàtima Núñez, Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR); and Josep Castells, InKemia IUCT Group, among others.
