Biocat and the ”la Caixa” Foundation, with the support of Barcelona City Council - Culture Institute of Barcelona and scientific support of IrsiCaixa and ISGlobal, are co-organizing the event CaixaResearch Conference 'Overcoming Covid-19 and preparing for the future’ on November 16 and 17. This is a scientific gathering to debate and outline possible scenarios on available resources, current vaccination technologies and logistics to combat the Covid-19 pandemic and other emerging infections. The overarching goal is to improve preparation and evidence-based decision-making.
The scientific program was designed around four main themes: development of diagnostics and therapies, development of vaccines, zoonosis and one health, and the transformation of public health. World-class speakers will be featured, such as Nathalie Strub-Wourgaft, director of Neglected Tropical Diseases at the DNDi, and Daniel Prieto-Alhambra, professor of Pharmaco- and Device Epidemiology at Oxford University.
Present your project to investors
At the session, participants will have the chance to present their pandemic-related projects to a series of investors. The pitch should last 7 minutes and be in English. An expert jury will choose the finalists, who will meet with investors.
