Barcelona to host sixth edition of Summer School on Medicines (SSM6) from 6 to 11 July

The 6th Summer School on Medicines (SSM6) will once again be held in Barcelona this year, from 6 to 11 July. Registration for this program, co-organized by the University Paul Sabatier - Toulouse III, CAPTOR Project – Investissement d’Avenir, INNABIOSANTE Foundation – Toulouse Cancer, University of Montreal, University Drug Research Group (GRUM), Biocat, Barcelona Science Park (PCB), CataloniaBio, Transbio Sudoe project, Foundation InnDEA Valencia, University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), Biotech Cluster of the Balearic Islands (BIOIB) and Campus Vida, will be open through 27 June.
The SSM6 program is structured to encompass the whole drug-development process, bringing together the experience of leading research centers, the knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical industry, and the vision of governments.
SSM6 is geared towards students in the life sciences (university graduates, Masters students, PhD students, Postdocs), researchers and professionals from the biopharmaceutical industry and regulatory agencies, among others. It provides 40 hours of training based on lectures from experts, case studies, seminars and visits to companies and research institutes. The faculty is made up of experts from the biopharmaceutical industry and research bodies in several countries, including Canada, France and Spain.
SSM6 is part of the European Transbio Sudoe project, an initiative coordinated in Catalonia by Biocat, as a main partner, and which includes 32 organizations from southwestern Europe. Among others, these include the Barcelona Science Park, (PCB), the Autonomous University of Barcelona Research Park (PRUAB) and CataloniaBIO.
