BIO-Europe Spring comes back to Barcelona as a virtual event
<p>Companies, startups and TTOs in the BioRegion will get significant discounts in the registration price.</p>
The 15th edition of BIO-Europe Spring (BES) arrives to Barcelona as a virtual event due to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic. This year, Biocat, CataloniaBio & Healthtech and ACCIÓ will be Platinum Sponsors and BioRegion’ companies and organizations will have important discounts in the registration fee. BIO-Europe Spring, that will take place the 22, 23, 24 and 25 of March, is the main event for Europe’s specialized life sciences and healthcare finance, biotechnology, pharmaceutical industry.
Thanks to this sponsorship, professionals from companies in the BioRegion are eligible for a 20% discount on registration prices. To get this discount, companies need to get a code that will be published in Biocat’s website. It can’t be applied retroactively (after registering).
The sponsorship deal also includes discounts for tech transfer offices and academic researchers. In these cases, the discount includes registration for five people for the price of one. The five professionals must belong to the same organization and be able to prove it with email addresses on the same domain.
New companies are eligible for the Young Company Offer, which includes tickets at €495 per person (it includes up to four free registrations for team members), as long as they meet the following conditions: founded within the past three years; pre-revenue (not billing yet); developing their own technology or biotech product; with a team up to 10 people working full-time.
Access to the platform 5 weeks prior the event
BIO-Europe Spring registration includes access to company pitches, program sessions and company and sponsors’ content from the 15h of February, 5 weeks before the live event with the goal to facilitate networking and meetings among the participants. The event is expected to bring together over 2,500 professionals from biotech, pharma and finance, who will engage in more than 15,000 partnering meetings. Meetings will be done securely in the event platform on a 24-hour basis to allow participants to meet conveniently from any time zone.
BIO-Europe Spring has been held in Barcelona three times, in 2010, 2013 and 2017, a year that beat turnout records. The Catalan capital was chosen to host the event again in 2021 but, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it has been moved online.
