BIO-Europe Spring returns to Barcelona
The spring edition of the top European partnering congress for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry will take place in Barcelona from 11 to 13 March 2013.
By Biocat
Barcelona will once again host BIO-Europe Spring (BES), after the highly successful 2010 edition, with the aim of reaffirming the strategic positioning and international visibility of the BioRegion of Catalonia. This is made possible thanks to the support and involvement of the Barcelona City Council and Biocat, coordinators of the Host Committee, together with organizations like the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC) and other stakeholders in the sector that will join in shortly. The congress will be held from 11 to 13 March 2013 at the Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB).
BES 2012, held in Amsterdam, attracted more than 2,000 delegates from 47 countries who participated in over 11,000 meetings, figures the upcoming event expects to surpass thanks to its ongoing growth. Each year, the event attracts top leaders and noteworthy emerging companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and financial sectors from Europe (71%), North America (20%) and Asia (9%).
