Biocat committed to Catalan presence at Biotech Showcase, a top-notch forum to seek out investors and partners, in San Francisco
This event coincides with the most important week for investors in San Francisco, the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference, from 10 to 12 January 2011.
From 10 to 12 January, the Biotech Showcase will take place in San Francisco (USA). This specialized funding and partnering forum for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies coincides with the most important week for investors in San Francisco, the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference. Now in its 29th year, the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference has become the top event for life sciences investment.
The Biotech Showcase expects some 800 participants, some from the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference, and expects presentations from 150 companies (up 10% from 2010).
This event is of interest to companies in the life sciences sector that want to introduce themselves to a group of mainly American investors, financers and industry executives. It focuses on both biotech and pharma, especially due to the fact that it coincides with the JP Morgan conference, which generates a large number of events related to this industry.
Deal for the BioRegion of Catalonia
Biocat has negotiated an aid package for Catalan companies that want to participate in this event. The deal includes a 450-dollar discount on fees: 250 dollars off company presentation fees and 200 dollars off registration. Total fees after the discount come to 1,350 dollars for the company presentation and 650 dollars for registration (deadline 30 November 2010).
The Biotech Showcase is organized by the EBD Group, which also does successful events like Bio-Europe Spring and Bio-Europe.
