For the tenth year running, Biocat is coordinating Catalan participation at BIO International Convention, the top global partnering event for the biotechnology sector, which will be held from 6 to 9 June in San Francisco, California this year.

Biocat’s call for participants is now open to companies and organizations in the BioRegion of Catalonia with two participation options: with a booth or without, both at advantageous prices between €500 and €300 off official rates.

New this year, both options include Convention Access & Partnering, which gives participants access to the partnering system and allows them to schedule meetings at the Business Forum, as well as having access to the whole event program. This year, therefore, there won’t be partnering at the pavilion, only at the Business Forum, whether or not participants have a booth. Furthermore, partnering will be extended to three and a half days, beginning on 6 June.

Biocat will act as the liaison between Catalan organizations and ICEX, which is coordinating participation on a national level. Plus, this year the Spanish pavilion (booth number 605) is strategically located, very close to the Business Forum and the main sponsors of the event.

Companies interested in participating must submit their application by 29 February. For more information on how to apply to participate in the delectation of the BioRegion of Catalonia, see Presentation BIO 2016 - BioRegion of Catalonia

The latest edition of the fair –held in Philadelphia with 37 Catalan participants (29 companies and 8 organizations)– welcomed more than 15,800 delegates from 66 countries and hosted more than 29,200 partnering meetings. Therefore BIO is a great opportunity to contact top executives and decision-makers attending the convention to scout for new players in the industry, forge collaborations and assess emerging technology.
