BioRegion of Catalonia to participate in digital BIO-Europe Spring 2020 event
<p>The fair will be held March 23 to 27, this year in a digital format</p>
15 companies and organizations from the BioRegion of Catalonia will be participating in the 14th annual BIO-Europe Spring (BES), one of the most important partnering events for the biopharmaceutical industry in Europe. This year it was supposed to be held in Paris but, in the end, it will be a digital event held March 23 to 27 due to measures taken against the SARS-CoV-2 global pandemic. The event is held in a different European city each year, and Barcelona hosted it in 2010, 2013 and 2017.
The Catalan companies that have confirmed they will be participating in BIO-Europe Spring include Ability Pharmaceuticals, Almirall, Esteve, Gebro Pharma, GP Pharm, IRB Barcelona, KYMOS Pharma Services, Laboratorios Rubió, Laboratorios Salvat, Neuraxpharm Holdco Spain, PANGAEA ONCOLOGY, Pharmacelera, Trifermed and usMIMA. Biocat will have an online presence at the fair and help raise awareness of the Catalan presence internationally.
BIO-Europe Spring (BES) is organized by EBD Group. The program includes online company presentations, pre-recorded panels, a virtual exhibition and teleconferences.
The 2019 fair brought together nearly 2,500 delegates from 1,400 companies in 55 countries, hosted 15,400 meetings and saw 3,600 licensing deals closed.
