Biospain has become the big presentation platform of biotechnology in Spain to international partners in the areas of research, innovation and marketing. This is the fourth edition of this biotechnology event already consolidated in Europe. Last 2008 edition, took place in Granada and attracted over 1,100 visitors per day from 26 different countries, and over 120 exhibitors. A substantial increase is expected for this year’s edition, which will take place in Pamplona next September 29 to October 1, 2010.
The event is structured as a commercial trade fair and an event of partnership. It is organized by the Spanish Bioindustry Association (Asebio) and includes an investors’ forum, plenary sessions and lectures on different issues with international speakers. Also, it hosts the scientific congress of the Spanish Society of Biotechnology (SEBIOT) and an employment forum.
Biocat is conscious of the opportunity to participate in this event represents and the platform it offers for the international promotion of the BioRegion of Catalonia capacities. For this reason, it makes a call to Catalan sector companies and research centers to promote their presence in this fair, with the following different options:
• Participation with a stand
The booking of spaces is already open and reduced prices are offered until April 30, 2010. The price of a stand of 6 square meters is 1,500 Euros (VAT not included). After this date, the price will be 2,000 Euros (VAT not included). The price includes two general registrations and provides free access to partnership.
Exhibitors will be able to make a presentation of their company without additional cost.

• Participation as a representative
Registering as a representative provides free access to the trade show, to the partnership sessions, to the Scientific Congress lectures, as well as to all plenary and parallel sessions. Reduced price is offered until April 30, 2010: 300 Euros (VAT not included). After this date, the registration fee is 400 Euros (VAT not included).

• Sessions of partnership
This is the most reliable tool to satisfy the industry needs, to find potential collaborators and to introduce products and technologies. BioSpain 2010 partnership is organized by EBD Group, this service best supplier at present. It has been the responsible for the partnership of the recently celebrated congress BioEurope Spring in Barcelona, with a great success of participation: over 9,000 meetings celebrated (27% increase compared to 2009 edition).
The registration fee provides free access to the partnership.
