Call now open for financial support through European BioMan4R2 project
<p>As we announced in fall 2022, Biocat has been chosen as one of the European partners in the <a href="https://www.biocat.cat/en/what-we-do/european-networks-and-projects/bio…; project, which includes financial support and networking for small and medium-sized companies in the biological products and medical technology manufacturing sectors. This program gives SMEs access to competitive vouchers to help fund research and development projects, as well as other activities associated with boosting resilience, sustainability and competitiveness.</p>
After the first phase of the project, which focused on preparing and building Eurocluster excellence to address the critical needs of the BMT sector, the second phase is kicking off with several lines of action:
- To facilitate the signing of cooperation agreements between European entities and entities in third countries.
- To facilitate the implementation and adoption of innovation in business processes by small and medium-sized companies, contributing to green and digital transformation.
- To improve the consortium’s cluster management skills to provide better services and attract more talent to BMT.
- To improve and transform BMT products in a way that reduces reliance on current value chains, as well as introducing new innovative products.
- To build new models of collaboration between European biomanufacturing clusters and other key stakeholders in the pharmaceutical/biomedical and medical technology sector.

To facilitate access to the vouchers the project offers to achieve these goals, Biocat has set up a b2match matchmaking platform for the biomanufacturing and medtech sectors that allows users to:
- Contact potential partners for collaborative projects, provision of services, etc.
- Get all the information and documents necessary to apply for the two types of vouchers.
The two types of vouchers are:
- Innovation: 15 vouchers for €60,000 for two types of initiatives
- Cooperative projects between an SME (main applicant) and another organization
- Prototyping, valorization and validation of existing products
- Business transformation: 10 vouchers for €15,000 for the following activities:
- Green and digital transformation
- Internationalization
- Go-to-market
- Legal and financial advisory services
The deadline for this call for applications is June 30.
