Call open for projects and companies in the BioRegion interested in contacts with French investors

Biocat has opened a new call for participants in The Investment Readiness Series- France Edition, an initiative that aims to bring together projects and companies from the BioRegion of Catalonia with French investors, and vice versa.
The deadline for the call is March 19 and it is geared towards companies and projects in the healthcare sector that are ready for seed capital and series A investment. The program is free of charge and allows more than one project per institution or principal investigator.
After the call is closed, Biocat will send information on the Catalan projects and companies to a group of French venture capitalists, venture builders and corporate investors, who will make their selection based on their interests. Likewise, investors in the BioRegion of Catalonia will get the chance to discover French projects and companies.
Finally, on May 22, the selected projects will meet with the investors to open up contacts for possible investment at an event at the Cuatrecases headquarters in Barcelona. The program is organized by Biocat in collaboration with Business France and ACCIÓ Paris and support from Cuatrecasas.
A new program in the ecosystem
The Investment Readiness Series is a new initiative from Biocat to increase the number of investment-ready research projects in the BioRegion of Catalonia.
There are several calls for The Investment Readiness Series each year. So far, one edition has been held in Barcelona for biotechnology projects and the first international edition was held in London. This March, there will be another edition focusing on medtech, diagnostics and digital health, although the call is already closed, and in May, the French edition.
