The Catalan Agency for Health Information, Assessment and Quality, which is coordinating the tender process for the European Decipher project (Distributed European Community Individual Patient Healthcare Electronic Record), is holding a workshop on public procurement on 28 June in Barcelona as part of the MIHealth Forum 2013.
It is an informational session for technology and healthcare companies in Catalonia (SMEs, spin-offs and start-ups) interested in participating in this pre-commercial public procurement process –the estimated value of the contract is €900,000— explaining the scope of the project and requirements that must be developed. The expected date for this tender is December of this year.
The Decipher project aims to develop a mobile solution that allows EU citizens to safely transfer and access their healthcare data when travelling or staying in another EU country. The project is co-funded by the European Commission’s 7th Framework Program, which began in February 2013 and will last 36 months. The consortium carrying out this project is made up of the TICSalut Foundation and l'AQuAS (Catalonia), Estav Centro-Ente per Servizi Tecnico-amministrativi di Area Vasta and Ancitel Toscana (Italy), Trustech-The North West NHS Innovation Service (United Kingdom), and Culminatum Innovation and VTT Technical Research Centre (Finland).
Registration free of charge (the session will be given in English).
More information on the project is available in this brochure and on the Government of Catalonia’s public procurement website.
