CEBR creates European biomarker directory

All Catalan organizations working in this area are invited to participate

The Council of European BioRegions (CEBR) has created the Global Cluster Biomarker Programme, a directory of commercial and academic biomarker stakeholders. The directory aims to help forge partnerships between participating clusters and organizations, helping raise awareness of the potential biomarkers have for clinical research and other applications.
The Global Cluster Biomarker Programme website currently includes a directory with more than 200 organizations active in the biomarker arena, from SMEs and large corporations to research groups and universities.
Biocat, along with the BioM Biotech – Cluster Development GmbH AG (Germany), Health Cluster of Wallonia (Belgium), Genopole Evry (France), Berlin-Brandenburg- German Capital Region (Germany), Luxemburg BioHealth Cluster, Heidelberg Technology Park (Germany) and UppsalaBio (Sweden), has supported the initiative to create this directory.
The program was publicly launched during BIO2014 and since then the number of participating organizations hasn’t stopped growing. At the launch, CEBR members, clusters from non-European countries and biomarker companies met to present their latest breakthroughs. Among other companies, Catalan biotechnology firm Anaxomics presented its biomarker consulting services.
Catalan companies and research bodies interested in being part of the Global Cluster Biomarker Programme can contact the Biocat Business Development Department (lrogel@biocat.cat).
