The week of May 17 to 21 will be European Health Tech Innovation Week, the largest healthcare technology innovation congress in Europe, promoted by GIANT Health.
The hybrid event (virtual and in-person) will take place one day each in 5 European cities, all considered the main health innovation regions in Europe: Barcelona, Berlin, Liverpool, Paris and Stockholm.
On May 21 the focus will be on Barcelona and Biocat, together with the Barcelona City Council and ACCIÓ, will highlight the capabilities of the life sciences and health ecosystem in Catalonia and, in particular, the HealthTech subsectors. The program will include the participation of Jordi Naval, CEO of Biocat, who will review the BioRegion's assets, and Montserrat Daban, scientific and international relations director of Biocat, who will participate in the round table Barcelona-Catalonia: A top ecosystem for health tech scale-ups in Europe.
The day taking place in the Catalan capital will also feature the following events:

- Debates on artificial intelligence, immersive technology, digital transformation and telehealth
- The Giants of Healthcare: international awards ceremony
- Inbound Trade Mission to help international companies make contacts in the Spanish healthcare system in general and the Catalan system, specifically
- Pitching to investors, for startups and SMEs
- Global health session on Covid-19 and public health in Barcelona
