EIT Health launches several acceleration programs and funding for innovative healthcare projects

These initiatives fall under the acceleration pillar of this European consortium and are geared towards future entrepreneurs, SMEs, start-ups and spin-offs.

Under the Accelerator program of the European consortium EIT Health, there are several grants available to entrepreneurs, SMEs, start-ups and spin-offs in the healthcare arena, in addition to training and acceleration programs to help them develop new ideas and take them to market.
Funding
For the second year in a row, EIT Health has launched a call for two grants geared towards emerging companies, SMEs, spin-offs and start-ups. These grants will fund projects to develop new health-related products and services, accelerate their time to market and promote new economic opportunities.
Candidates may opt for two types of grants: ‘Proof-of-Concept’, geared toward business ideas and projects in pre-company stages; and ‘Headstart’, open to clearly market-oriented companies developing healthcare projects, products or services.
The deadline to submit proposals is 31 March.

They include, among others, training and support activities for developing business ideas, as well as participation in activities to help companies open new markets or validate their technology in the network of Living Labs or Test beds.
