The 45th annual MEDICA fair, one of the most important in the world in healthcare technology, is currently underway in Düsseldorf and will end on 15 November having received roughly 130,000 visitors from more than 120 countries.

The approximately 4,600 exhibitors from around the world will be able to enjoy a wide variety of activities designed to promote the exchange of ideas, products and news in hospital healthcare. Noteworthy activities include special events, forums and conferences, which are an ideal platform to exchange technical knowledge and showcase the latest technology. The fair also includes the largest exhibit of product from this sector in the world.

A delegation of Spanish companies devoted to manufacturing healthcare products are present in the Joint Pavilion, brought together by the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (FENIN) on behalf of ICEX.

Additionally, Zenit GmbH, with support from the health sector of the Enterprise Europe Network and ACCIÓ, among other organizations, is hosting the Brokerage Event MEDICA 2014. This event is based around pre-scheduled meetings that aim to give SMEs, start-ups, research centers and universities from around the world the opportunity to scout for partners for international cooperation projects, sales and licensing agreements, joint ventures, outsourcing, technology transfer and R&D projects.

The 4,600 exhibitors present also include those in the Belgian Pavilion, which has a total of 74 companies accompanied by the Lifetech.Brussels Cluster and sectorial delegates from foreign trade and investment agencies from the regions of Brussels (Brussels Invest & Export), Flanders (Flanders Investment & Trade) and Wallonia (AWEX).
