The MIHealth Management & Clinical Innovation Forum, to be held on 24 and 25 May 2012 in Barcelona, has opened a call for papers for the presentation of innovative initiatives and projects in the healthcare field.  Of all the proposals, 40 will be selected and integrated into the congress programme (10 five minute presentations for each theme track). The result of the selection will be announced on 4 May. Moreover, the best project in each theme will receive the MIHealth Innovation Award.

Requirements:

  • Project started in the last five years (since 2007).
  • Be an innovative solution in the health field with proven practical effectiveness. 
  • Have demonstrable results of the positive impact of the project. 
  • Belong to the healthcare field.

Selection criteria:

  • Technical quality of the work
  • Originality
  • Degree of practical validation of the work 
  • Possibility of positive impact on the healthcare system

MIHealth will bring together health professionals, managers, general managers, CEOs and senior managers of the health sector in order to meet the challenges of the sector by studying the latest trends and national and international success stories. The congress will feature four tracks:

  • Clinical knowledge and innovation management
  • Technologies for the transformation of the health system 
  • Innovation in the management of health organizations 
  • Sustainability of health systems

This congress has the support of over 20 institutions and the advice of a scientific committee composed of health sector experts —including Dr. Montserrat Vendrell, CEO of Biocat— from different Spanish hospitals, health departments, sector institutions, medical colleges and business schools.
