Mind the Byte obtains technology partner seal from Amazon Web Services
The Catalan start-up specializes in cloud-computing solutions for small companies and research groups in biotechnology and biomedicine.

Mind the Byte, located in the Barcelona Science Park (PCB), is the first company in Spain and seventh in the world specializing in cloud solutions for chemoinformatics and bioinformatics applications to be accredited as a technological partner to American multinational corporation Amazon Web Services (AWS).
With this initiative, the Catalan start-up gives companies, universities and public and private research groups the chance to access a wide range of calculation infrastructures and scientific/technological software on the AWS cloud with SaaS (Software as a Service), which is a pay-per-use alternative to traditional software licensing agreements.
Cloud-computing services allow for the optimization and acceleration of R&D&i projects, improving access to large-scale data-processing systems and cutting-edge analytical platforms for small research groups. They also minimize investment in infrastructures and scientific/technological services and foster standardization of data and processes across the board in organizations participating in national and international cooperation networks.
