The Ministry of Science and Innovation presented a new call for proposals to the INNCORPORA program, which allows private companies, technology centers and science parks tohire full-time technologists with higher vocational training degrees or the equivalent. Applications must be received between 10 January and 10 February 2011.

What requirements must be met?

Technologists to be hired must:

  • Have a higher vocational training degree or the equivalent.
  • Have one month of work or academic experience on R&D&i projects in areas related to the activity they would carry out. 
  • Sign up for a free and compulsory training (a course on Innovation to be given by the Industrial Organization School). 
  • Have had no work-related contractual relationship with the person to be hired since 1 January 2010.

Applicants must:

  • Hire the technologist between 10 January 2011 and 20 days after the provisional resolution is published (estimated date: May or June).
  • Hire the technologist to participate in specific industrial research, experimental development or technical viability projects.
  • Hire the technologist on a full-time contract. 
  • Offer at least a 12-month contract.

Type of subsidies:

  • Subsidy: funding to cover 100% of the innovation course (165 hours) given by the EOI.
  • Loan to cover the rest of the eligible costs (salary, Social Security payments and indirect expenses), with the following terms: either without a guarantee, or with 0% interest, or over 9 years (with 3-year grace period) or upfront yearly payments.

In 2010, this program funded 149 actions with a total of 616,662 euros in subsidies and 16,151,815 euros in loans.
