MIT and the Community of Madrid Will Award Ten Grants for a New Fellowship in Biomedical Imaging
They aim to stimulate work in this field to create a knowledge community that draws on institutions and companies from Boston (Massachusetts, USA) and Madrid and that can attract and incorporate talent.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Consejería de Educación of the Community of Madrid have organized a call for a new, international, integrated training and research fellowship for specialists in biomedical imaging, known as Madrid-MIT M+Vision Consortium. They aim to stimulate work in this field to create a knowledge community that draws on institutions and companies from Boston and Madrid and that can attract and incorporate talent. Ten grants will be awarded.
MIT is one of the world’s most prestigious science and engineering universities. Several of its faculty members and alumni are Nobel Laureates.
Applicants must hold either a PhD or MD, or hold a BS plus have at least five years of professional experience in medicine, engineering or fields related to biomedical imaging. Applications will be accepted until 25 January 2011.
Grant winners will begin the 12-month program in July 2011 and receive a pre-tax sum of €43,000.
