The Entrepreneurs School Foundation, based in Barcelona, will offer 100 courses on entrepreneurship over the 2013-2014 academic year. Under the framework of the Be an Entrepreneur program, the courses will help foster entrepreneurial spirit among nearly 3,000 young people from vocational-training and secondary schools. Some of the participating centers in Barcelona include the Virolai, Betània-Patmos and Sagrada Família schools, and the Icària, Josep Pla and Salvador Seguí secondary schools. In central Catalonia, just to give one example, there are three schools participating in Olot.

Completely in English, Be an Entrepreneur is comprised of 13 one-hour sessions given by entrepreneurs from various arenas, including biotechnology and biomedicine, who will teach key issues for starting up a business and creating a business plan.

This initiative is listed on the table created by Biocat of the educational resources in the life sciences and entrepreneurship currently available in Catalonia for teachers and students.

The Entrepreneurs School Foundation, which was created in 2010, also offers the Start-Up School mentoring program and the entrepreneurship and creative expression program The Young Entrepreneurs Summer Campus!, among others.

More information is available on the Be an Entrepreneur website.
