New Map of Neuroscience Research in Catalonia
The map was presented at the 9th Symposium on Experimental Neurobiology
The Catalan Society of Biology, with collaboration from the Autonomous University of Barcelona Institut de Neurociències, has presented a new Map of Neuroscience Research in Catalonia.
This map is a database with information on Catalan groups that do research in the field of neuroscience, and is the continuation of the so-called Pre-Columbian Map of Neuroscience Research in Catalonia, created in 2009. This update to the map is a significant quantitative and qualitative leap forward: the first edition had complete data on 80 groups and partial data on 13 others, while the updated version has data on 117 groups, nearly all of which is complete.
The Map of Neuroscience Research in Catalonia was presented at the 9th Symposium on Experimental Neurobiology at the Catalan Society of Biology, which was held on 22 and 23 October. This symposium, held every two years, brings together a large part of neuroscience researchers in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Valencia, and seeks to exchange results, experiences and protocols, and to forge new collaborations.
