Phyture Biotech launches new product based on plant stem cells
The product, the first from the company’s own portfolio, is a sunscreen
Phyture Biotech, a Catalan company from the plant biotechnology sector, has just launched its first product to market, based on Arabian Cotton stem cells. The product, called "Arabian Cotton Stem Cells Phytocomplex", was presented last April at the In-Cosmetics fair in Hamburg and is an effective sunscreen.
The company is a pioneer in Spain in the use of plant stem cells in cosmetics and dermatology. Based on their knowledge of the plant Arabian Cotton, they have cultured stem cells from this species and extracted active ingredients with photoprotective properties. Phyture Biotech will continue this line of R&D&i, producing new active ingredients, with the aim of launching new ingredients to market this year.
Phyture Biotech is part of the InKemia-IUCT Group, a group of high-technology SMEs geared towards developing and exploiting new products, processes and technology for companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors.
