Product development, focus of first session in "Lessons Learned" series
CataloniaBIO and Biocat aim to promote the exchange of experiences and networking with this initiative
The strategy of product development on the way to the clinic is the title of the session being organized jointly by CataloniaBIO and Biocat on 5 June to launch the series Lessons Learned: Sharing experiences to boost competitiveness. With this initiative, the two organizations aim to foster the exchange of experiences and networking among professionals from companies in the life sciences arena. The various sessions in this series, held with collaboration from the Barcelona Science Park (PCB), will feature a selection of experts and professionals from the sector who will share their knowledge, experience and points of view on various key topics for the development of companies in the sector. The aim is to foster knowledge and interaction among participants and speakers, and thus relationships between bodies in the sector.
The first session will analyze key issues for understanding the strategy and management of product development: regulatory issues (David Mauleón, Asphalion), analytical strategy in the various phases (Lluïsa Garcia, Kymos), drug-delivery systems (Laurence Lachamp, ASCIL Biopharm), scaling (Gemma Lahuerta, Reig Jofré Group) and quality control and management (Javier Fuentes, InKemia IUCT Group, and Judit Amposta, Archivel Pharma). There will also be a debate on resource management throughout the process of taking new treatments to market.
Date: 5 June 2014 Time: 4:00 to 8:30 pm Place: Barcelona Science Park (PCB) • Aula Fèlix Serratosa • C/ Doctor Marañón, 8 • Barcelona
