This past Tuesday, 14 January, Singularity University presented their Call to Innovation - Call to Entrepreneurs 2014, a nationwide competition for innovative projects, in Barcelona. This call, on which Biocat is collaborating, is geared towards creative, entrepreneuring minds that are interested in technology, inventions and the future. To participate, anyone interested must offer up an innovative answer to the question: “How would you solve one of Spain’s biggest problems (unemployment, education, energy dependency, ageing population, etc.) using technology?

The two winning answers will receive a scholarship to attend Singularity University’s graduate studies program in summer 2014, from 14 June to 24 August. In Spain, the competition is sponsored by the Rafael del Pino Foundation and the Cosentino Group.

Singularity University explains that this call seeks innovative, creative and ambitious ideas. This university in California (United States) is known for its training in new technology to solve problems and inspire global change.
