The Biotechnology Business Institute (IEB) has launched two new Master’s degree courses applied to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors for the academic year 2016-2017: the Masters in Business Management and in Marketing Management. They will be taught as University of Barcelona (UB) applied master’s degrees, on site at the UB’s Faculty of Biology.
Since the master’s in Project Management (now in its third edition) was so well received, the IEB business school decided to extend its educational offer to meet the growing professional demand for health sciences profiles with knowledge in applied management. The aim of the programs is to provide business knowledge to complement the students’ scientific training.
The IEB’s programs are aimed at life sciences graduates, people doing their doctorate or who work in transfer offices and even at biopharmaceutical company professionals. The objective of the training is to stimulate the students’ professional career, steering it towards the development of new drugs, medical devices and health products.
The program also includes visits to research centers and science and business parks to enable students to have contact with the working environment, as well as coaching activities and neurolinguistic programming. The teaching staff is formed of professionals with extensive health sector experience focused on the development of drugs and health products. The Masters courses cost around 8,000 euros and the deadline for application ends in October.
