A total of 20 companies and 5 Catalan institutions make up the Catalan delegation, coordinated by Biocat, which will participate in BIO Philadelphia 2015, the convention and main partnering meeting of the most important biotechnology sector in the world.

This year's edition will take place from June 15 to 18, 2015 in Philadelphia (United States). The Philadelphia metropolitan area is home to more than 1,200 companies, ranging from large multinationals in the biopharmaceutical industry to national companies with great projection and a high rate of growth. Exhibitors participating in the BIO will therefore have the opportunity to reach senior executives and decision-makers who attend the convention with the aim of discovering new players in the industry, forging collaborations and evaluating emerging technologies.

The Catalan BioRegion at the BIO 2015

The BioRegió de Catalunya will have its own space within the Spanish pavilion, which this year is in a privileged place located at one of the main entrances to the fair and next to its main sponsors. This year's Spanish pavilion is #booth2301.

Among the Catalan companies that participate there are mostly biotech companies, such as Anaxomics Biotech, Plasmia Biotech, Mitelos, BCN Peptides, Specific Pig, Bionure, Proteodesign, Bioingenium, GP Pharm, Biokit, Oryzon Genomics and pharmaceutical companies such as Gebro Pharma, Laboratorios Salvat, Bioibérica, SOM Biotech and Ability Pharma.

Other companies that offer consulting and business development services such as  Trifermed, Insights in Life Sciences  (ILS), Spherium Biomed and Oficina Ponti.

Of the total of entities that make up the Catalan delegation, seven of them will have their own stand, while the others have opted for the partnering mode of participation.

In addition to the companies, the fair is also attended by 5 Catalan institutions: ACCIÓ, the agency of the Generalitat de Catalunya for the competitiveness of the company; the Biomedical Research Institute of Barcelona (IRB Barcelona); the Biomedical Engineering Research Center (CREB) of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) and the Barcelona Science Park (PCB).

On the other hand, we would appreciate it if all those Catalan companies attending BIO Philadelphia 2015, even if they do not do so through the participation methods offered by Biocat, let us know so that we can add them to the dissemination and communications let them do the fair.
