Maziar Ahmadi
PhD in Electronic Systems, Micro/Nanofluidics and Liquid Lenses from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), he has more than 10 years of experience as a researcher and engineer. In 2020 he decided to create IMAZTECH.
EU-OSHA has already warned that musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) - repetitive work, strenuous postures, transporting heavy loads, etc..- are the most common occupational disease in the EU-27.
In order to provide a solution, Maziar Ahmadi created in 2020 IMAZTECH, a startup that has developed MAXSENS, a preventive and protecting IoT solution for working risks of upper limbs disorders and injuries. The device consists of 10 sensors that collect data in real time and provide postural recommendations to prevent injuries effectively and quickly.
In this interview, Maziar Ahmadi, co-founder and CEO of the company, explains how from a personal experience he detected an unresolved need, why he decided to create the company and stay in Barcelona and what he wants to achieve in the coming years.
