Are we what we eat? Advertising currently shows a growing number of products that promise to improve our health and prevent or cure disease. How are these products produced? Have their health benefits been proven? How and by whom is commercialization of these products regulated?

Biocat is holding a conference entitled Functional food and nutraceutics: the line between food and drugs? on 3 November in Barcelona in order to offer a general overview of the current situation of functional food, the main lines of research and the regulatory framework that applies to this type of product.
