Invest BioRegion Portal
In May, Biocat launched the Invest BioRegion Portal matchmaking platform to give visibility to Catalan startups and projects from the BioRegion of Catalonia to investors and corporates, and to promote business activities.
Through this free online marketplace, which centralizes investable/licensable projects and startups in the health sector, investors and corporates can search for business opportunities that best match their needs.
This tool aims to fuel business development activities in the ecosystem, raise awareness of the most significant investable projects and startups in the portfolio, drive technology transfer and boost visibility of the capacities of Catalan universities, research centers, technology centers and hospitals.
Biocat hopes the platform will become a benchmark tool for the sector to forge long term relationships with national and international investors and companies and partnerships within our ecosystem.
Biocat began its investment attraction activities for companies and projects in the BioRegion in 2018 and has now decided to frame them within this new portal. In 2023, 55 startups, 71 projects, 81 investment funds and corporates registered and 126 meetings were held.
